This is a nice capture of the heron with the nice fall colours in the water. The colours reflected really make this photo. I like that the heroin is not exactly in the center of the photo. Even a little more to the left would work well. The piece of wood breaking the surface on the right also provides a pleasant perspective. There is decent detail in the colouration and detail of the bird. Altogether a good capture and similar to one I would like to make myself. Decent composition with a nice eye to detail of the colours. I like it.

Gorgeous colors, love his cool blue against the warm leaves in the reflection. I am kicking myself because I saw a great blue heron on Saturday, but I didn't even notice him until I was looking through my shots of the geese AFTER I had left! Somehow he had slipped right by me! Great focus, and I like the composition and the choice to not include the entire reflection. I like the log in the frame, too.

It is really magical with the way the autumn colors reflect off the water. The heron is also very nicely presented and is the focal point of the picture. The focus is sharp. There is great composition.

Now that is amazing color, must say we don't get seasons to the same degree as you guys so have never seen fall colors like this. Beautiful photo, like the reflections (although you chopped the herons reflection). Nice clear focus.
