nice work willie for this,unusual entry for the contest,because its a reflection of autumn colours,but have to say it works,the use of the reflections in this is really nice,the heron and the log give it and extra interest,pity u did not get the herons reflection,but maybe that was pushing it,well done..brian

Wonderful shot! 5* is the most I can give you until 30 days pass! Just know that I would have given this higher! Great colors. He really stands out against the reflection of the Fall leaves! Great detail & focus. Thanks for sharing!

This is a terrible photo Willie you chopped off the head in the reflection the colors of the leaves are all muted and they are out of focus to boot. LOL Just trying to down play the competition. Great shot. Dave

this is beautiful, I love this heron against the water, as he really stands out but then the water in itself completely stands out as it is so colorful they both compliment each other very well, the reflections are georgous

I generally do not have a problem with the subjects that members post. I feel that it is their right to submit whatever they wish. Your shot here has a nice composition, but I bet you could not get the whole reflection in because of some land or some such nearby. It does not detract from the image which is an excellent representation of fall colours in the water. The heron looks very good too! Great settings have worked a treat here. Very well done!
