What an interesting butterfly! The wings look so delicate, and almost transparent. The long stick-like thing coming out of it's mouth looks like a tongue. Do you know what it is? Anyway, great close up of a butterfly and good luck in the contest!

Comments: Great shot of this butter fly. I do have a question. It looks like the photo was taken from below. But that doesn't match the camera settings. Was it shot at a very low camera angle? This is not a criticism but an attempt to understand your method which I think is absolutely wonderful. We do not often see a butterfly from below. Very good photo. Very crisp picture with lots of detail. Good DOF blurring the background. Good color. Wish you had captured the entire butterfly. Good artist notes. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so very much for a great review and high score! I shoot in manual mode all the time! I will set my shutter speed or fstop for what I want and adjust the other to work! In this case I wanted the fast shutter speed so I adjusted the fstop to work! I always try to shoot ISO 400.
