Striking photo! Great color on the water which sets off the bluish heron well. The log gives it a good sense of balance. I might have trimmed off just a bit of the top.

Lovely image Willie,sharp and as you say colourful. The image has a good composition and the subject stands out well from the background. Before I opened the thumbnail I thought the log was a crock about to get a good pecking. Mitch

Oh Willie this is pretty. I like these birds, a blue heron, but standing in such vivid colour makes it outstanding. The water is so calm. You do take wonderful photos. I also like his pose. Its interesting how he is leaning forward.

Wow, what a great shot. This bird is not the most colorful one, however, here with the fall colors reflected on the water for a background, a super shot. Good frame and focus with a just right exposure. Top shot.
