I sure hope he remembers he is standing on that string. It is a long drop down the other side-lol. Cool piece. Just heard the a teenager has become the youngest to climb this mountain and six others from 7 continents a couple days ago. Did you hear it and is that what inspired you?

HEY!! I like this ver, very much..the idea of a conquering picture, that celebrates such an accomplisment is super..maube you could sell them to people who have climbed Everest! Donkeyoatey! P.S...to be realistic, you need to add all the garbage we have left there! (just teasing)

What a nice dedication. I like the
Color palette the strength of his boy comes thru, and the flag all tell a story. Wonderful work.

He was a great man who achived what others though impossible. It is a pity his wife didn't stop to think about that when she wanted to sell off his achivements. Climbing Mt Everest she could not take away. That is etched in history. Beautiful art congratulations.

I really love the story behind this work and the image is placed perfectly within the composition, however, I feel that the background could have been blended better even if you where using ink markers if the intent was to create a picture that was for sale. In architecture we used ink for renderings years ago and there are basic techniques that you can employ such as masking off part of the background and blowing the ink on to the paper. However, if this is just an exercise then disregard the suggestion as it is a subjective opinion. Other techniques that can improve a drawing such as this is to use hashing of the topography so that it looks more real even though it is a cartoon type of rendering.

well i do apologize but cartoonish but it is my trademark. in the 60's i started with flair pens and would search for all kinds of colors available from the 70s thru to current time(i have several hundred pens). I am sorry to say no one held my hand nor took any interest in pens markers in the past to show me any kind of technic. the message i would get from fellow artist is using pens are juvenille and i should be using other types of materials. I ignored them and what i have done has been thru trial and error over the years. what you have suggested sounds good. but i dont want to break open a marker to do that. this kinda of review i get from Fellow artist who apparrently never have worked from these kind of markers if they have worked with ink at all. That is why when i spot a pen style art i make sure i give a true fair review accordingly know what limitations the pens have and what they have done to achieve the outcome. so future refence..when you see my work it will always be cartoonish because that is my style and who i am., i do appreciate you taking the time in giving me this review.

Nicely done! Really like the different tones of blue you have used in the background. The figure is well drawn and good use of colour ranges for all the highlights and shading. It has your style stamped all over it and is a great contender for the contest, good luck with it
