This is a very emotional evoking image and a winner, in my eyes of the contest.

The communication of the father to his newborn son has been captured by you. I like the fact that you turned it into a BW as I think it's more evocative that way, colour would have made it so ordinary (save for that excellent emotion captured) and it's also timeless.

Your post processing by blurring and softening that background is quite evident, the tonality is spot on and I wonder if you worked it in channels in your software program.

What I like about this image is the intimacy of the composition, your tight cropping in a vertical format which works...it makes me feel like I'm peeking in on a very private moment of this father's life, and it's a precious moment too.

I'm supposed to tell you know how I would improve on this photo....and I can't... I've looked long and hard and I just can't.

I think you could put a frame around it and hang it .

This is a lovely image, portraying the evident love of the man for the child. What a healthy looking baby! I think you have, however, applied blur way too much to the face of the man and the child. I like it to a certain extent, but this is just a tad heavy handed. Just trying to help you here, because I've done this myself on occasions. Looks great on the background though.
