The difference between a good photo and excellent photo usuall comes down to timing, being in the right place at the right time.

Nicely done, good sharpness, glint in the eye, and eye pretty close to a "power point". My only suggestion would be to add some canvas to the right of the bird's beak, it's usually considered to be good to have more space on the side a person or animal is facing.

Love the alluring blue base to this work. The centering is also very well done. The crisp clear close up of this bird excellent. The detail in the beak and that hypnotizing eye are wonderful. Like the hair like strands behind the head too. NICE

You filled the frame with this sharp focused photograph. The exposure is also very good too, capturing light gold of its eye, and the beautiful blue water. I also like the pose of this bird; he was definitely checking you out too. Good photographs.
