Yea, the Yankees. I'm a former New Yorker. Great colors and composition full of motion. Love the K made of baseball bats. Nicely done.

How about the Toronto Blue Jays or the Hamilton Tiger Cats, time for some Canadian content. This is wonderful, the green is fresh and almost has that sweet smell of fresh grass. The "K" as a pair of baseball bats is great. It feels like the transition from football to baseball heralds the arrival of spring. thanks my friend, Cyn

I like how you captured that expression on his face. Also, the way you made the K out of baseball bats. So very talented and it shows in this drawing. Great detail also on the shin guards and his shoes. All around so well done.

I love the color palette in this one the navy stands out so nicely on that amazing green. You are so good with all the details from the shoes to the helmet. The lighting and shadows bring him to life. You have an amazing talent drawing sports figures with ink markers!

Thank you for the pep talk, that is helpful:) I don't have a lot of time for this site and when I get bad reviews on a piece that everyone else loves I start thinking I'm not going to bother spending time here anymore. It takes a lot of time to do enough reviews to get your piece promoted to a decent # on the list. I would miss my friends I have made like you, I enjoy seeing your work and talking with you:) Have a great day! Michelle

you know whats funny i did the same thing and would get pissed at first when i was beating up..then i realized something....all these people here are competitors...they dont have the checkbooks..they are like me here with their hand out...i laughed and laughed at myself for getting mad. so now when i hear an unconstructive remarks i try to respond back with a joke and saying oh well thats how it is and that critic just moves off to their little world..i notice they kinda change after a while with the excuse oh just like this one...lolol..no matter what i am going to get a company to notice my work(been a promo MAN too many years)..watch me...wink. you have a great day also and keep painting!
reply by Watercoloursmleboeuf on 04-Feb-2012
Thank you, great advice! I definitely will keep painting it's the reviewing I may give up:). My goal is to promote my art as much as possible this year. So far I have two showings. One at Starbucks for two weeks starting February 19th and the second one at a restaurant in downtown Burlington, Vermont. I'll be showing 20+ paintings in their dining room from June 1st to August 1st. I will be advertised on their website as well as have the ability to have an opening there if I choose:). More to follow! Good luck with your art I love it! Michelle

More boys have grown up dreaming of being a Yankee, than any other baseball team.
Given my location i can't help but be a 'Blue Jays' fan and i'm happy with the back to back world series we got. it might be a while. Very cool composition.

You did have to do a good job on a Yankee poster. Like they need it! LOL You can tell this Ranger fan is not thrilled with reviewing a Yankee player. This looks a lot like Jeter. You did what you always do. Everything looks good here. Color, compostion, interest, authentic action pose, even some facial expression.
