You certainly did stop the action in mid flight.
Flying birds are not easy to photograph without getting some blur in the picture. I have never managed to do it.

You caught him! I know this is hard to do, because these birds are hard to find, and once you do find them, they are hard to get close enough to even with a zoom. I also like the exposure. The water looks really clear blue. Overall, a very nice photograph, and best of luck in the contest.

Compositionally you have given this bird room to fly with balanced negative space all around. He's sharp in focus as is his plumage. There is no harshness in the ambient light, the quality adding to perfection of this capture.
Compositionally beautifully thought out and technically well executed it's again, as your other images....outstanding.
