The bird is beautiful and your focus is great on the bird. I believe a bit more crop would be in order off the right but still leave it in thirds . Just in my estimation would give a better presentatiom. Good work Az

Beautiful bird Willie.Very good detail,the colors are right on,tack sharp. If I had done any thing different I would have taken the orange out.Distracts me some. Nice bird thanks.

Thank you so very much! You are the second one that mentioned the orange! That is the sunset reflecting off the water behind the trees! I guess I need to fix it!

Again a pin sharp photo showing such fine details in the bird, but I wonder if your photo is just a tad on the dark side. The colors are definitely nice and natural.
The placement of the heron within the frame works well together with a neat cropping. Another excellent shot Willie.

Ok, many thanks...we get them here in Costa Rica, but they are hard to photograph because they are not used to humans too much.
