Well, again Willie, this is a good capture of the smoke, but not as creative as your pistol photo. The color of the smoke is more pronounced then in your other shot of the smoke. There is a nice blue tint in the smoke, and the ring is very well captured. There is nice light reflecting off of the smoke giving the photo a good effect; however I like the pistol one better. This is still a good shot Willie.

Not a winner Willie but you never know what the competition will bring. You can make some great smoke images using an incense stick with a flash. Willie send me your email at daveclarkphotography@comcast.net and I will send you a link to an article. I thought I had it but I lost my address book a while back and I don't have it now. The picture I posted way back for a contest had a smoke component I made that way. Dave

Not a winner Willie but you never know what the competition will bring. You can make some great smoke images using an incense stick with a flash. It gives a beautiful blueish/ prism color, edges intact,good that it has a dark back ground to bring it out.
I think the first with the gun fits the subject best and it's a tad blurry

I think this picture is neat. I love the black background and the pretty blue smoke but it can also pass as fire too! Really cool, love it and this picture would make a great screen saver too.. Just saying lol! Keep up the great work!

This is really wild and crazy,Smoke can take on almost any shape imaginable and you sure can't imagine this. Smoke does make an interesting subject.

Try a slower shutter speed and use flash to freeze the smoke. On the ones I did the other day I used f32 on 0.3 iso 100 and was happy how they turned out. This to me doesn't really look like smoke, but you might want it that way. Great colour.

I like this one also but it hasn't got the same impact as the Smoking Gun - love the colr of the smoke and the swirl. Maybe try a combination, getting the swirl from the smoking gun :)
