I am guessing its a pussy willow or something in that family.Lovely shot of it. would have to see the whole stalk to tell for sure but sure appears to be a pussy willow

Thanks so much for your comments, I checked out Pussy Willow on internet and unfortunately that is not it, this is from a climber with tendrils rather than stalk and the pod is smooth not furry - thanks for the guess though much appreciated.

This is so neat the way you took it. I like the close up and the detail you see in the seeds. They are so silky looking. I like the way you have part of the pod in the picture too. An excellent picture.

Interesting looking seedpod, I like the focus and colors. All the fluffy stuff on the seed adds a nice look to the photo, thank you for sharing, nice job!!

this is a nice shot. I like how the softness of the white seeds contrasts the hardness of the shell. Nice composition and color.

You sure got great light and detail on the seeds. I really like the way the slight make the white shine, but the FG part seems a little distracting. I do not know if a little vignette or cropping would make it more stunning.

Thanks Bob, I appreciate your comments, I left the whole pod in foreground in the hope someone would be able to tell me what it is - no luck so far think it will remain a mystery :) Mary

Quite a good dramatic shot here! Gives the feel of the pod springing open just then!! Your photo has a good composition giving us a good look at the scene. Your shot is very sharp and very well exposed. Very good photo, well done!
