Yes it would be very unusual these days. I have watched them spin on a wheel and i thought there is no way I could keep that thread/strand from breaking. This woman was spinning and talking to me at the same time. How much knitting is done these days. There is a spinning club in my city. The wall colour really gives the wheels a feeling as if it is still in the past. Thanking you for sharing. sandy

This is a neat shot of the old spinning wheel. Good clarity. Great background which helps highlight the COI. Nicely composed with good focus and detail. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Unusual indeed. There are not many around of them anymore. I know it's not easy to work them. An old uncle tried to teach me the art of spinning when I was about four or five. I poke myself all the time.
The filter applies a beautiful warm and old time look to the excellent crisp and detailed capture. The colored whole are a beautiful addition and excellent contradiction for the circle of the big wheel. Best luck for the contest.

Love the shot. It's golden hue's help to give it age and nostalgia. Well framed, good contrast. Like the shadows on the wall, quite expressive.

You did amazing with this photo. The set up is perfect. Matching with furniture doesn't matter with the story behind it. You have exceptional lighting. Soft and gentle focus on a treasured antique! As always Ms. Annie your work is a beautiful sight!

this would classify as an unusual object,in as much as in todays terms, but not when it came out,the sepia has added that old fashioned feel in this, and the vignette has helped as well, but think its slightly to harsh a light in this, but other than that,id does remind you of a bygone age

Exceptional my friend. Of course this is a 6+. The choice of sepia creates the nostalgic mood that its history reflects. Wonderful the tiny coloured interest in the basket and the shadow on the wall. Excellent choice of subject matter for the contest and good luck. Cyn

Really nice capture. I like the HDR feel and I like that the only real color is in the basket. Good clarity and sharpness. Composed well. Well done.
