Late is better than never. I am catching up again. Great idea to put that ghost ship in that ghostly white foam and white light on the sales. That white really gives the ship a otherworldly apperance. The divergence bethween the warm light of the sinking sun and night-blue ocean with the ghostly white, black and grays of the ship make the story. Of course that there is no soul on board visible emphazises it.

your the only one that finaly figured out that this isn't a real chip its a ghost ship finally ! LOL thanks for the review my friend and I'm alwyas late anymore LOL

Of course, it's a ghost ship. I tought everybody know that story, had heard it sinse kindergarten.

the ship is surely having a pirate touch as you said.the 3/4th setting sun is giving a unique nature to the scenenary.the fast gushing waves of the sea bouncing on the ship ,makes the ship to have a treasure hunt.good luck pirates!!!

This is amazing. Close to the original use of the word awesome, which I don't use lightly. Very impressive. I work with photography, not digital art. So, I don't think I have any constructive, useful suggestions.

This is very nice. Reminds me of those old felt painting my uncles had when I was growing up in the early 80's. Soft glows with deep meanings. Very cool.

LOL I have one of those paintings , it's not on the wall mind you but it was done by an artist who had been set up at our local mall and I fell in love with it, and of course its a painting of a clipper ship. I didn't see that in this painting until you mentioned it but your right it does look like that LOL

I like the treatment of the water swells, and the wash colors of the sky. Interesting how the masts are inclined, directing the eye almost to the sun disk. Nice surf.
You have made the choice of positioning the ship so that there is more space on the left (the direction it came from) than on the right (the direction it is heading). This subtly informs the viewer that where it's been is more important than where it's going. Was that your intent?
Did you realize that your bowsprit dates the ship? You have a spritsail and a sprit-topsail, see e.g.

Which was mostly a 17c design, up to maybe 1720. (However, your hull shape is of a more recent vintage.)
Subsequently, the spritsail was superseded by triangular jib sails, which multiplied as shown in extreme case below

whelth of information. I did the drawing from a photo from the movie pirates of the Caribbean, the Flying Dutchman, which all the film clips were very faque. This began as a ghost ship, but after i put too much detail into it, couldn't opaque it so I had to change the direction I was going with it. however, your information isa very interesting. My husbadn builds these model ships, his own design but he uses the plans fromother builders, so I have to go by the planshe has to get the details,never seen one of these which I would love to. I'llcheck out the sights you gave me. If they have more detail to them then the next painting will be muich better,I truly appreciate your help and the information thank you so much
