I think you have done a great job recreating the tree in your drawing. I like the way the eye is drawn into the image beneath the canopy of green. Your tree has a nice life like appearance. Very nice detail. I find that the colors used have created nice light through the drawing. I like pastel work, and I think that you have given this image a lot of character. Very pleasurable to view!

Thank you ever so much. I found out recently that these trees are actually quite sinister and have very dark backgrounds and meanings to them. I have given it a little happy twist.

Very nice pastel piece. I love the trunk drawing your eye up to the green leaves. The branches have such great shapes and lines provided naturally by nature. Well done.

Great entry for the contest. So realistic that I thought it a photograph at first. Composition and colors are both excellent

This is an excellent work study of a tree trunk. I admirably like your attempt to portray in close-up the powerful twists and turns and the knotted details of this magnanimous tree trunk. The background with its little twigs and tiny little green leafs makes the mighty brown/orange tree stand tall in this composition. Excellent impact piece of art!

A very colourful and well lit woodland scene.the tree is contrasted by ground level and foliage and the tree centre of attention.
