An excellent close-up of the butterfly. Cutting a little bit the upper blurred part of the image could improve the overall composition as well as the background.

A strong composition and the unusual angle lifts the image above the usual "butterfly on a flower" shot. As usual it is pin sharp where it needs to be.Mitch

Excellent focus and dof Willie - it's great to have both the bug and the flower with such great clarity. I really like the artistic composition and cropping too.

excellent framing...love the close view showing every hairy detail. Dof gives nice separation from the background and the lighting and colours are lovely. Top shot.

What a great shot!. How did you get this guy to pose for you? The dof is just enough to keep the subject in focus. The arc created by the wings of the butterfly are mirrored by the implied arc of the clover. The beautiful texture of the fluffy butterfly head contrasts so well with the smoothness of the clover petals. You have used the rule of thirds well. Exposure and contrast are great. If I have to nit-pick, I think the background could be more out of focus to give a less busy backdrop. Superb photo.
