I wonder what or who the donkey is laughing at. Clever and creative photo. It appears to be in sharp enough focus that if the eye were made big enough we would probably be able to recognize the photographer. This photo is composed well. It tells a great story.

A good smile pic always makes the viewer smile with it, and yours definitely did that! Excellent details in the donkey's face. The eye also is sparkling with that glint of a smile! You placed the donkey well in the frame. The blurred background and scene is an excellent backdrop.
(You may want to take a look at the cloning in the front. There are a couple of lines that stand out.)

If I was there right now, I'd give him lots of petes.
LIke how his neck is a slight diagonal to the frame, the point of view on his face/mouth, the good focus showing him so clearly.
nice exposure with gentle light and the right amount.
nice fill of the frame.

yw! i took a lot of shots today and i have one with a cow sticking its tongue out and another with a mule sort of smiling. unfortunately the focus wasn't great and there were distractions, but for me, i look at them and laugh. when i saw this, it just cracked me up even more! so glad you shared it with us.
