Mark, This said to me unspoken heart felt reality of dreamers, such as you!! Your the Angel flying to close to the ground, song by Willie Nelson. I have met many movie stars and so what. My best friends back in 1975-The one flew over cookoo nest movie, remember that? I was mistress to Mel Lambert, the man with the boat at Eola Inn, outside Salem, Oregon. Met many stars thru Lambert. Art absorbs my soul. Your famous with us here!!! and elsewhere. I admire your art and you, thanks for my vote, wink on my friend.

Interesting. See I used to live in Memphis and worked off of Beale street. I have met Issac Hayes, BB king, Scatman Caruthers and even great of balls fire Jerry Lee Lewis to name a few. I'm originally from the flatland Mississippi Delta south of Memphis ...that lil country town of Leland we produce folks like Jim Henson.kermit the frog is based from his classmate Kermit Scott. We also produced Guitarist and Backup vocals Joe Frank Carolla from the 70s band "Hamilton Joe Frank and Reynolds" they had the hit "Baby falling love" or if you like Motown we produce Dorothy Moore..maybe you like country well 30 miles out of town and you come to Mound Bayou home of the 1st black country singer Charlie Pride...while your traveling there to Charlie's house you will pass thru Shaw home of Football legend Archie Manning..if you go 20 miles south you come to Belzonia home of Mac Mcannally who not only produce many of his own songs but wrote songs for Jimmy Buffet as well. You know Morgan Freeman still has a house in Holly Springs and comes home once and a while. Not bad for the middle of nowhere and nothing but cotton fields? I'm glad you have enjoyed this and thanks for the awesome review

I looked up Mark Flood , the artist on Wikipedia is that you? lol. Have you seen that?
reply by the author on 07-Jul-2025
Kinda doubt it..there is a Mark Flood from Texas that does abstract style type of art. Funny things is he is a year older than me .no if you ever look me "MKFlood" is my artist name, only one word..since there was another Mark Flood years back and I am a fan of H Geier so I kinda adopted the MKFlood title. You can find me very easily on a Netscape or Google search. Just put that one word in .wink

I am not American so Blues City, which I assume is in the south, holds little meaning for me, but if there are angels, there will also be male musician angels. I did visit the south once and brought back for my memories, rather large school girls many of mixed race clamouring at shops for sweets and such - all that good american cheap food, an old black guy I passed, sitting in the sun outside of his home, I think made of wood,/our houses are all brick built because of the rain/ in a rocking chair, and very clean and brightly coloured streets.

I remember..you told me you lived in Arkansas..each southern state is different. However blues goes back decades..it can be about the rough times..it could be about the agony of love..the blues is truly the Father of rock and roll..thanks for reviewing this oldie..oh if you look close in the drawing it represents icon areas of Memphis starting with the bridge.

This is incredible! It's a very well thought out and rendered scene, the Angel above the city, looking down. Awesome attention to the details, beautiful colors and tones very well applied! I love the night sky with stars and the way you show the city lights in the distance. Very well presented! Congratulations on winning this contest!

This is an unusual guardian angel, but a guardian never less. He evidently protects all musicians and artist who too often are not aware of dangers.
Your drawing is expertly composed and rendered. The colors are appealing and adequate. The framing is perfect. The composition is balanced.

Great drawing of this boy angel resting on the roof of a city, probably contemplating whether to take an addition in the sun studio production. Coloring in the drawing is nicely presenting the white wings on the angel.

Old age, and say, a little Bourbon?:)) I'm an expert on old age--78--and I can assure you such creative and interesting images don't come to me. I guess it's just talent. Oh well, I'll keep trying. Meanwhile I can enjoy your stuff. Thanks and cheers, James.
