A very interesting bloom. I think the pink speckles are quite fascinating. Maybe it has Hydrangea measles? * joking * ;-)

I love these flowers as well, but haven't had much luck trying to grow them. This bloom is outstanding, almost like coloured confetti, the roundness of the bloom pops. Your POV is great and the filling of the frame is nicely done. Great my friend. Cyn

Thanks Cyn, must admit I have not got a green finger and am very thankful for the many parks and gardens around Adelaide.

Wow, I, too, love hydrangeas but have never seen one this multi-colored before. Love how you have filled your frame with this stunning flower! Good color, clarity and lighting. Thanks for sharing this rare beauty!

Your image is enjoyable, well composed, sharp and has good exposure. I have liked looking at it and reviewing it. Very nice photo, well done!

MaryLiz, this is very pretty really for a flower that is having issues. It is nicely centered in the frame (though some don't like that) and mostly in focus which isn't easy on such a large flower. I admire your tenacity in getting your shot at all costs!!
Possible improvements: The flower is a little washed out and need to be a bit sharper. Really suggest aperture higher than f/20 for flowers. And if you're doing that you really need a tripod. Paula

Thanks so much, I must give that a try you suggested it in a previous review but due to old age I had forgotten :) Next time out I will give the F20 a try, this one would have been difficult as there was nowhere for the tripod being on such a steep slope I did use a monopod but was slipping down the bank so ended up being more for my support :).

Yes it sure is a little different with all of those colors. Good work to get it nice and sharp. I have never seen one like this.

A particularly lovely hydrangea. I also love them! Beautiful colors with the pink spots and the little blue centers. Well spotted! Focus could have been a little sharper, but an enjoyable image.
