Great catch, for the bird and for you. Love how the detail of his beak is sharp and the fish is wiggly and blurry. Lighting and exposure are great. Nice shot!

A great shot. Patience paid off. Nice crop and the exposure is spot on retaining detail and natural colour. The thing is with any portrait, because this is a portrait, it is the eyes that are the most important detail. In this instance, they would allow us to see the joy in the bird of having got is lunch, just the way a people portrait allows us a glimpse of someones inner feelings. Sharp eyes, a catchlight in the window of a soul makes an image. Great work though

This is a great acton image I like the way its cropped and the contrast on this. I love that the heron is still in flight. Images like this take time and a lot of patience just a realy great image. Very sorry on the early rating human error was to be 5 stars clicked wrong one.

Great action shot showing good motion. Well fitted in the frame - full and clear. The colours are good - I like the reflection which shows the green of the trees out of picture. Really nicely caught at a good moment.
