This might be what is called a maypop but I am not sure. The pod looks like that but I have never seen one open. The flowers are beautiful when it blooms. I like the way you took this so close up and the way all the seeds look. The detail you see in this is stunning. An excellent and interesting picture.

Thanks Anne, have never seen a flower on this, which in itself is odd when it produces these huge fruit come seedpods. Will keep searching.

Thanks Brian, appreciate your comments. The plant in background is the same one just one of the seedpods has opened and the other is still green.
