it's a very interesting creature to photograph, especially on the water, and the awesome reflection it has on the surface. the multi colors of the water works nicely for high interest and strong appeal. great color in the feathers, it truely is a lovely bird, and you've done an excellent job of photographing this creature in it's excellence. thanks for sharing

This reminds me of somebody reflecting back on their life by looking in the mirror. It's kind of beautiful- very common and excellent that you have captured an animal surrounded by nature to do this.

Willie, this is a terrific shot! I love the pose you caught it in, the way the curves come together with the reflection to form an oval, round and pleasant to look at. The fall colors really help the blue feathers to stand out!

A big well done on this image Willie I like it very much!I may have cropped out the top left grey bit but like you would not want to lose the point of the bridge the birds on so I would have changed my mind :-> job well done great work

Sweet mother of God, is there any end to your talent. With you filling up this site with great images, you leave no room for the hacks, me one of them. My skin is so milky white from standing in your shadows.

Thank you so very much for a great review and high score! I want you to know that this was taken out my car window. I was able to drive up slowly and position the car so I could see well and start shooting. I don't know how many shots I took here but I stayed until it got to dark to shoot any more. I have several of him catching fish too. Oh I also had on the radio and some cold diet coke to drink.
