A wonderful shot of this herron. Focus could be a very tad better.I delete many of my shots of these difficult subjects.I find eather the subject moves or I do, I sometimes solve my movement with a tripod which leaves just the subject. This is a wonderful nature shot and well done.Thanks for postin

I love the deatil shown in this Bird! the reflection has the right amount of DOF so as not to distract from the main subject but can still be seen as the reflection. Excellent camera skills, with good exposure, and placement of the bird. A big thank you for sharing this with us.

A very good image of the Heron Willie. Seeing you have selected this for a "Reflection" contest I can go with it as presented,but looking at it as an image on own; the composition lets it down slightly. The log going across the center splits the picture in to two halves thereby losing some initial impact. I feel it would be a much stronger image if the reflected body was cropped leaving some of the reflected legs,which would also lower the bird in to a more acceptable position in the frame. Mitcj

This beautiful photo has it all. color, reflection and detail of the bird.

This one looks strikingly blue making a great presentation.

I have seen drabber birds at our lake house and on the Gulf.

Lovely shot with reflections, makes it perfect for this contest! They are lovely birds, but this one looks actually graceful standing there, all curves and stillness. Great color in the background to offset the blue of the bird. Nice shot!

You captured this bird in all its glory. The detail is excellent.You can see the individual feathers and the bird's eye. I also like that the bird is not centered but off a little to the side.
