Great story! I love the composition in this. Nice vibrant color. It's nice and simple, which I love. It has great feeling to it.

Ok... I love the dog! He is adorable!
Fab details in this Dude. You amaze me at what tiny details you get in the water, grass and sky. Fab colors.
Nice work MK!

Here's another attempt at getting markers thrown at me. ;-)
The texture in the water is excellent. The ripples look great.
The texture and shadows in the boys skin and clothes are brilliant.
I think the overlapping lines in the grass could be improved if you changed the length of the stokes and made them more random. I am sure you can make the grass look more natural and realistic.
Not sure what to do about the overlapping lines in the sky. I think the answer is to stop overlapping them. LOL
Those are the suggestions for improvement so my review is useful and the bots don't tell me that my reviews are not useful.
Did you find any of that useful or is it more annoying since it comes from someone who has never drawn a decent picture with markers?
Now where are those markers so I can check my own theories? ;-)

you know you made me think of some thing..does jesuel go thru this with his harsh brush strokes when he is painting with acrylic?..i wonder if van gogh was givien crap about his individual brush strokes on stary night...yeah..maybe..i wont throw it at ya..you can find them at walmart of office max..but this is the curse of the sharpies so i try to advantage of the strokes to wokr me like the grass..the sky. well it is what it is and ill admit im trying to craqnk these out as fast as i can to catch up with jesuel..so ill let ya slide about the line thing because...you right..im working on it though..thanks for the great review..good or bad i appreciate your opinion due to i believe you are saying it from the heart..thanks

Thanks for seeing my point Mark. I can also see yours. It can't be easy working with markers since they do tend to darken every time you overlap them and you can't blend them as easily as you can with paint or colored pencils, or can you? I might seriously go and buy a set to find out for myself. I am thinking along the lines of watering them down with a brush dipped in plain water to smooth out the "ink". Would that work in your opinion ? You have them handy and could try it before I even get down town to buy a packet. I only go into town three times a week.
Harsh acrylic strokes can be watered down so if they are harsh the artist deliberately made them that way. Every artist gets crap from other artists. I even painted some to give my fellow artists some crap to review. LOL
Amazingly I even get five star reviews for that. Too funny.
Where are the people who give crap one star reviews? Hiding behind superficial garbage?

    *Wicked evil grin* ;-)

This is another awesome drawing. I can't get over how detailed your pictures are. The colors are so vibrant, the details right down to the spots on the dog are awesome. You are so talented, you should be doing great things. Well, maybe you are, how do I know. Great nostalgia in this drawing. I LOVE it.
