Your composition here is very dramatic. You've managed to capture the bright and varied shades of red through these radiating lines. There is a lot of visual interest in between the open flower on the left and the buds on the right...definitely tells a story here. I like the muted but bright green in the background as it really sets off the reds. Very nice art.

Now this is quite a a simple picture with an elaborate detail in Artist notes and that I really like! The colors are beautiful and clear to see as you can detect that the Pentas are opening. I also liked reading your notes about these plants and how you took your time to wait on one of them to open. Thank you for sharing c:

Good Shot. I like the contrasting of the red and the green. It brings out the flower more than if there had been more colors in the background. The composition is also very good. Having the flower off center drawers me into the flower. Great shot, thanks for sharing.

A gorgeous plant and I wonder how it would do up here in the Northwest? We get fairly cold winters here. I'm looking for plants that attract hummers and butterflies so I can photograph them. The plant is gorgeous without a butterfly on it. You captured this shot well with fine camera techs. Good shot!

Very beautiful colour Eileen. But I believe you could have closed up on your subject, which is the butterfly flower which would have given us a clearer view of your flower. Anyway it is a good picture.

A great use of complimentary colours to attract attention Eileen and a creative use of depth of field to make the open flower stand out.The composition is good and t=focus on the open flower is nice and sharp. A very pretty floral :)

The initial impact is great! I am a huge fan of macro shots, and this one is amazing. The red on green really adds to it, and I feel that (even in a macro shot) the background is important. You nailed the background. I know that might sound weird, because it is just green, but I feel like when the background is two colors it takes away from the shot. Well, now I am just rambling. Anyways, amazing shot!
