Thus is awesome! You should be so proud of this! You captured him and his spirit. The emotion is joyful and he's happy. The clothing and font etc is just right. I was fortunate that my oldest brother exposed me to all of the good music since I was 4 in the late 60s early 70s! I imagine Jimi is happy, playing in Heaven! 6 stars & Winner!!!

Oh I was old enough to enjoy. JIMI..I was in my 1st year of military academy when his hit were.jaming on the radio. Glad you have enjoyed this and thanks for the awesome review

Born in Flint Michigan and at the age of 7 I moved to Mississippi. While in Mississippi I did 4 years of military academia.. no I wasn't a trouble kid..my dad know a couple senators that would sponser my acceptance to west point. Since my family members have served in every branch of service but no one was an officer. At the time that I discovered my dads intentions. I was just receiving notice from the academy of commercial arts in Memphis. Dad was pissed that I was turning down West Point..art is a hobby not a trade..and informed that he hopes I have a job and a place to live..I said no problem and joined the Army as an enlisted soldier. This is back near the end of the veitnam war. Folks don't know how close we came to war in Cambodia in 77 and Lybia in 79..I turned in 2 months of leave to get out of the army early. Glad I made home..a week later Grenada happened and yes my unit was sent there. We didn't have cells and answering machine back then , so I told the wife to stay away from phone and don't answer it..luckily they never called me..guess they had enough bodies for the Meat grinder..I have lived in numerous states due to work..from new england to midwest to southwest and the southeast of course. Folks assume that las and people are the same from coast to coast..guess what? It ain't.. we are 50 different states with 50 different types of laws and all united certain federal mandates that unites us. One time this dude was bitching about Florida drivers..I told him he was mistaken..the idiots on the Florida road are Folks from the other states where they think the laws in Florida is the same where they come from but it isn't.

Really a member of all 3 sites. Get a chance stop by YouTube.com and look me up. Over 20 illustrated music videos to watch. Only range 3 to 5 minutes long but you might like one of em. Wink

This is an excellent likeliness of Jimmy Hendrix. His facile features and expression. Is easy recognized by the reviewer.
The monochromatic emphasizes the singer profoundly. Perspective and proportions are flawless. The tight framing is adequate. The drawing is excellently composed.

You know this is part of a book I submitted to diamond committee. Yep they beat me up good on it. The 1st book they bitched saying it wasnt consistent drawings..like for example all flowers, or animals. I sat and thought about the response and I put this book together and titled it as "master sharpie/Bic artist"..I was emphasizing that all work is consistent In this one medium...duhhhh... well that is not good enough for them..now I'm gonna submit this same book to them again..if they come back with the same bs then the diamond committee can kiss my ass. Lol .check out the other 9 images and be honest..do they sux that bad to be not considered?..thanks for the awesome review

Folks mostly notice my cartoons and think that's all I do..there is over 1000 drawings in my portfolio and cartoons are only half of that..rest is drawings like this. Of course I cant blame anyone not going thru it even halfway..I would get bored looking..lol..if you look at the top of this post and you click that tiny lil gray box it will give you 9 more of examples of what my lil ole sharpie and Bic pens can do..wink..thanks for the awesome review

Had a look, absolutely fantastic. Your craft is priceless... with those sharpies., not that easy to manipulate I know cos I am addicted now and to copic style pens. You defo have the back. Congratulations on a super book.

Someone ask me if I use the copic blender to blend out the lines..I said why? I developed a technic with my sharpies where I can blend out the lines with them..why waste money on a blender.. wink

I will look more closely at your work lol. I don't use a blender but some other pens I think are alcohol based have a huge variety of shades and layer on layer can have some great effects.

Nope this was done not long ago..however from back in the 70's I had been doing rock posters like this with my lil ole sharpies..wink.Thanks for the great review
