Many thanks due for your fabulous artwork. It makes a striking accompaniment to my piece. I joined fanart in order to be able to review and give your well-deserved stars. Credit in my footnotes as well. Cheers. LIZ

This is an excellent likeliness of Jimmy Hendrix. His facile features and expression. Is easy recognized by the reviewer.
The monochromatic emphasizes the singer profoundly. Perspective and proportions are flawless. The tight framing is adequate. The drawing is excellently composed.

You know this is part of a book I submitted to diamond committee. Yep they beat me up good on it. The 1st book they bitched saying it wasnt consistent drawings..like for example all flowers, or animals. I sat and thought about the response and I put this book together and titled it as "master sharpie/Bic artist"..I was emphasizing that all work is consistent In this one medium...duhhhh... well that is not good enough for them..now I'm gonna submit this same book to them again..if they come back with the same bs then the diamond committee can kiss my ass. Lol .check out the other 9 images and be honest..do they sux that bad to be not considered?..thanks for the awesome review

You ate doing more than well at the moment. This is fantastic. Your sharpie experience delights me JH my favourote of those times too. My otherhalf has a T shirt he wears and wears and now I have to be careful when I wash it so it doesn't disintegrate... i have been thinking of making a piece copyong it. 9ne side is black and white the other the same in colour. Your artwork here is superb. You have such detail and his features are so correct without a doubt Jimmy.

Had a look, absolutely fantastic. Your craft is priceless... with those sharpies., not that easy to manipulate I know cos I am addicted now and to copic style pens. You defo have the back. Congratulations on a super book.
reply by the author on 21-Jan-2020
Someone ask me if I use the copic blender to blend out the lines..I said why? I developed a technic with my sharpies where I can blend out the lines with them..why waste money on a blender.. wink
reply by Brendaartwork18 on 22-Jan-2020
I will look more closely at your work lol. I don't use a blender but some other pens I think are alcohol based have a huge variety of shades and layer on layer can have some great effects.
reply by the author on 22-Jan-2020
Yes you have grasped it.. layering and motion makes it happening (thumbs up)

So does that mean you did this in this 60s or 70s, this piece I mean? That's what it reminds me of as I look at it. Like an album cover or t-shirt art from back then. I love when you do human art form. You are so talented at details like wrinkles, shadowing and expressions. Great Job hun!

One of my all-time favorite musicians, he and Clapton along with BBKing, RIding with the King...none better. This is one of your best pieces, Mark, stunning in composition and expertly drawn. Wish I had a 6! jean

This is excellent. Drawing this in Black and White is perfect. Your composition is perfect. It is one thing to draw with many colors. Just color in what you want. But to do it in B&W is extreme. There isn't another color outlining the spot you want to color in. Jimi at his peek. A six
