what a fantastic close up view with wonderful colors. The background makes a nice contrast and has no distractions. Focus shows good detail and the lighting and exposure look great. Very impressive shooting.

This is an extreme close up of this fine looking lady. The eye is totally pin sharp which is as it should be, and the detailing within the feathers is stunning giving them so much texture you actually know how they, would feel if you touched them just from your picture. The colors are warm and vibrant and the dark green of the background sets the whole frame off. Very well done, stunning capture

Haha, your description gave me a chuckle! This is a great shot, and I know that it must have been quite the challenge with how quickly she must have bobbed and flitted around! The colors are great, exposure is nice, composition is comfortable, and I like the slight vignetting effect on the bottom of the image. I think everything works for this shot- except the focus is on the beak, when I wish that is was on the eye, or that the aperture was closed just a stop or two so that more of the head could be in perfect focus (those textures are to die for!!). Regardless, at a smaller size this seems to not be as big of an issue, and the photograph is still quite lovely. Thanks for sharing, and keep up the great work!
