Excellent macro shot. Detail in the bird is very clear. Beak is a beautiful orange colour and this caught my attention straightaway. Interesting shot because you can see a seed in the bird's mouth. The image is very well framed and it is sharp. Nicely blurred background.

Did you hide your camera in a sunflower seed? I can see the birds little tongue, that beak looks pretty sharp. It is a very clear photo, with out loosing the softness of the bird. I like it very much,

Thank you so very much! I caught one when I was a kid. Lesson learned!! That beak breaks open hard seeds and it will draw blood if she bites you!

An amazing macro shot of this femail Cardinal with the finest of focus so we could count every feather & bristle around her beak & eye which she has fixed on you. The bakground make the bird pop out of the picture in 3D. could not be better if I were actually looking at the bird myself.
