Very good close up, everything is in good focus. I do find the background to be a little busy, but it also reflects the natural habitat of the dragonfly, so it can work. Overall, good job.

Hi Rachel, The one thing we can't change in a natural picture is the background. In this case they were the reeds by the water. Though I could have blurred the area surrounding dragonfly you's still be able ro see the reeds through the dragonfly's wings. I think that would have made the image look a little strange. IN any shot the subject is the most important element. You called this as you saw it though so I can't blame you for that. Disappointed by your three stars, but NO hard feelings!

What a stunning close up. Fantastic detail in this. I think it's great the only clear thing in this photo besides the subject is the piece it's perched on. Lovely use of a natural color scheme and great depth. Thank you for sharing
