Your lighting gives him a devil of a look! Enjoyed the background info. Can't imagine having these guys in my back yard; I get excited here on the other side of the mountains to see a praying mantis! Thanks for a view of the underside (underworld?)

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! They actually get pretty big... Have had them as big as 3 feet in my backyard... We learn to coexist :)

Incredible - this shot is handsome for its position and angle to get him in this relaxing mood - showing his feet and hand holding on to the branch . The idea to shift the colors into a glowing red also is very special - great job

A dramatic shot if ever there was one! The color treatment of the iguana and his twig against the stark black, the visual textures, the angle of the subject in the frame, even the tiny white outline and the very eye of this fellow all command instant attention! Simply stunning.

The initial impact is powerful with an excellent composition. The red is bold and works well with the highlights and shadows to create a very interesting technique.
