Beautiful Tiger Lily. The color is sharp and focused. The black background is wonderful and the lighting is nice. The shadow on the bud is great. You did a good job of framing and has vast appeal.
The root system grows sideways and is easy to transplant and always in the fall. You just can't kill this lily.

Willie, this is indeed a beautiful Lilly, and you have pictured it so well. Just love the vibrant orange colors in the Lilly, and how well it is standing out from the dark background. Good idea to turn it into BW.

Your focus is pin sharp showing very fine details both in the petals and the stamens, and the exposure is spot on.

The placement of the Lilly within the frame is very good together with a neat and tight cropping. I also like that you kept the stem and the buds. This is a well taken flower shot, and I wish you luck with the contest.

This looks like a winner. Good work in the processing, but I would go back and darken a little more of the background next to the lily. Yes it would be nice to know how it got there.
