Very nice capture here. Love the striking black and gold color scheme as it without question speaks of fall.

Just for the sake of discussion; not saying it was a bad choice but I think I would have either excluded that small area of brush in the upper right hand corner or cloned it out during editing. It really doesn't add anything to the picture. I feel the gold background would have been plenty all by itself for holding interest. But not penalizing you for it. If anything might have given you an extra 1/2 star. Good job though regardless!

Excellent capture with great initial impact. The lighting is nicely done with the silhouette and reflection of the heron. Really good color harmony with the orange yellow and blacks.Very well framed and I really like the branch in the corner giving good balance. Great focus with the ripples in the water showing just right in the background. Very creative. Fine work here

Good, for me, is not only a silhouette, if not a perfect and lovely silhouette. The reflection looks wonderful, and the color radiant. I love the branch in the upper right corner, I would like see more of it. Good luck in the contest.
