You have so many great beautiful flowers in Australia and this is no exception. The light is a little different but still grasp my eyes. This looks like it maybe a good one to vignette.

Thanks so much, I see similarities to parts of USA in the landscape but our unique animals and flowers set Australia apart. Well worth a visit to see them first hand :) Mary

I really like the lighting play here too. The colors are beautiful and the lines of this flower really photograph well. I think though that if you cropped about 1/3 off the top and about 1/4 off the right to place your largest bloom at the right hand third mark, the composition and initial impact of this shot would be strengthened. Overall good job.

Great shot, the sunlight really shows up the bottom flowers which have a crystal clear focus. The dark background really throw the red flower into view. Cropping is good as is the depth of field and composition. I live in Western Australia and have never seen one of these over here. Will have to check out the Botanical Gardens here. Well done great job.

this is so pretty. Now i know what its called. Nicely framed. The flowers have beautiful shape and colors. Focus is sharp and dof blots out the background and gives the flower stem the centre of attention. Lovely shot. Are you freezing. Just saw the news and there is snow in your state. Crazy!

Thanks Sonja, so crazy I have the heater on it was snowing on Mt Lofty and only does that every couple of years in winter. We are heading to Grampians tomorrow hopefully weather will improve. Only there for 4 days so will be off line. :) Cheers

its been so hot here but raining today just when i wanted to go to Brisbane to do flower contest pic LOL. I always leave things till the last minute. Am babysitting the grandkids at the weekend and they're small and time consuming so it won't get done then. Have lots of fun and i hope the weather improves for you.

This is a beautiful shot of the flowers. You have framed it well. Light and sharpness are very effective in creating a lovely capture. Good effort!
