I like it too for the same reason. The light coming through is almost irredescant looking. The green background is perfect with it. The splattering of color on the flowers sets it off. Lovely image, great photo!

Great close up! the detail is fantastic and the lighting really lights up the butterfly. The background has a great way of making the butterfly pop into view great job!

the inital impact of this is the great brilliant and bright color. then when yoiu get to see it up close the clarity is awesome. I love the details and the shadows.

This is a special capture and an excellent example of how a relatively common subject can become royalty! The lighting is just perfect to make this not only exquisite in bringing out the color of butterfly and flower but in general, making it a captivating composition of artistry. So well done, Willie- best of luck in the contest. I can't imagine a finer entry.

This is a very nice shot Willie. The butterfly is not in perfect condition but thats not your fault. A bit of careful cloning could reduce the imperfections. You have made good use of the available light. I love the rim lighting. Mitch
