Compositionally shows high level of creativity.Visually very effective and full of initial impact.Fine camera technique with fine focus to the center of the interest.Fine angle and contrast.Fine colors with pops of red. Nicely balanced and in general good job.

The red chair is a great contrast to the dark shadow, The hydrangeas add an interesting softness to the whole of the piece. I stare at this and it lets my mind wander. Great job.

What a great combination of subjects. Without the shadow of your husband it would have been a good picture to take but this adds something. It's a lesson for all of us as hopeful "picture makers" as opposed to "picture takers."

The shadows are a good study. Nice storytelling. I like the flower and chair, but the shadow is good. Framing and clarity, textures, colors, shadows are all good. I , as a traditional artist always appreciate the light source. I like the way it falls across the chair, casting another line. The 'husband shadow' is very sharp in detail. You did a very nice job. I don't see anything I would change. You are a good photographer.

So from your notes, I understand we are looking at a sunset photo? Seriously, this was a great idea and there's much I like about it; specifically the symbolism of the shadow and the textures in the wall. And having him lean like that was great.

Not holding this against you--just thinking out loud--but I wonder if the image might have been stronger by removing the chair from the scene, since there is no direct connection between your husband's shadow and it. Usually the more you can unite all the elements of a work into a cohesive whole the more powerful it comes. But you or others may see the chair fitting in just fine.

Thank you very much for the lovely review. When I see it now, I think you are right about the chair. Funny though, another member wanted to remove the flowers. LOL

Well taken picture, Certainly got his shadow, But I think the plant distracts from the theme. May of been better without.
