Wonderful! Willie.
Great initial impact and excellent presentation.
The picture tells the story.
I like how you captured the sense of movement as the heron takes flight with the fish in its beak.
The wooden post adds interest.
A natural image with colours all blending in harmony. Deserves a higher rating. Good luck in the contest.

nature in the wild hath to survive, so i guess it's eat or be eaten. in this case the crane is doing the eating, and his bounty is a fish of good choosing. the take off is great, and really gives the viewer an opportunity to see the magnificent wings of your crane in flight. excellent color and natural feel of your setting with the reflection and ripples on the water. very nice clarity and presentation in your close up photograph. very nice. thanks for sharing.

Great close-up shot. I love the details of the heron with the water splash and the fish in its mouth.

What an amazing capture. Wonderful detail throughout the feathers and face and fish in its beak. Timing is amazing. Good exposure, DOF ad composition also. Well Done. Terri

Amazing wildlife shot! great use of the cropping - ripples are blue to match the birds feathers. Great action shot too, the splash of the water at the left - nice touch. Good capture! All the best and well done.

Your wait rewarded you well with a super stop action. I have seen this heron catch fish but they were too far off for a great shot as this one. Good stop action, frame and exposure with reflected colors on the water. A super job my friend, one to be proud of.

Great image, well worth the wait. It is definitely an image of life and nature in action. One life force supporting another. I like the movement of the water and the splash showing all of nature is tied into this drama. Good composition.
