A great shot. You captured the heron when she made the catch of its food. Nice reflections in the water, beautiful color, contrast and sharpness. Excellent entry for the contest. Good luck.

A Blue Heron with his catch! Not an easy shot to capture with the bird moving as well as holding a large fish in his beak. Very well done because you have captured this beautifully. Focus is spot on, there is movement from ripples in the water as well as the splash and framing and colours are very good too.

This is one fine action photo. I wish I could give it a higher rating, but I am limited to five stars. The bird is enhanced by the reflections in the water. The circular wave resulting from the take-off is captured beautifully. Bravo!

l.o.l. great timing Willie and you captured a perfect action shot here with the fish as an added bonus! The colors are vibrant with the sharp focus still allowing the Great Blue movement in the wings! The framing is superb letting the Heron fly away with his meal! Perfect contest entry! Nice!
