Very nice presentation and explanation - yes dancing id very graceful and forms the human body into the full beauty - nice technique - the night also stands for sadness somehow she is not looking very happy but anyways she is dedicated and present for her chosen activity - perfect merging of the background with the dancing clothes - it seems that she is holding all the background in herself - great idea and nicely done - she looks like a picture so real, very good

it is a great and fine tribute and really captures all the softness and grace of a young ballerina. a good use of colour, almost in a monotone style but retaining a strong contrast and texture. a very happy new year to you cleo85.

Cleo: All I have left is 5s. This is a beautiful piece of work, very delicate and soft. I will look forward to seeing the next one. The background also is lovely. I am not familiar with your process so it is difficult to comment on technique. Happy New Year. Don

you are very talented art, i can only imagine what your work would look like on canvas using acrylics or oils. you are very skilled at using drawing software's, and present a lot of character in your art work. i like the diffused used of black and how it works in creating a strong present in the foreground through the young ladies dress. the uses of lime green not only establishes a pleasant middle ground, but divides foreground from background. very nicely thought out and executed on a two dimensional. very nice work

    Thank you very much for your throughout and thoughtful review! My pictures are painted for canvas print; were they look indeed like oil paintings. I even use a basic canvas texture and digital oil paints at the digital canvas.

An excellent entry for the contest. Talented and imaginative work.
I like the colours used to indicate night.
The ballerina's pose is wonderful, so graceful and elegant. I like how you given her a sorrowful expression.
One of your best work, good luck in the contest.

I see that I cannot give you a six, it seems I am being edited! LOL! The gentle sweep of her skirt, the wonderful moon rise, and the darkness combine to make her the personificationof a gentle warm summer evening. I think this must be the way the creator intended "night" to feel! I thank you for all the support this year, your kindness and creativity and generosity in the paintings my girls havein their rooms, and for the occasional butt kick I needed..I am VERY lucky!     It is not that warm here either. Last night it was down to 60! Almost tropical deep freeze. Soon I will have to wear shoes! But it did not snow so far. LOL ;-}

Even in this picture there is the contrast of night and day. Technically, this is a very smooth and soft rendition of Emma. Something troubles me about the green bushes. If it is night, why are they so bright?

    Thank you for your kind reviews and your input. This is not reality. She is La Luna the goddess of moon and night. She makes the landscape glowing. But you are right, they are unrealistic bright. The piece may is only understandable with the twin piece day [Aurora the goddess of sunrise] In this piece the dress has the green color of the bushes. The bushes are a black silhouette. This reverse connects the two pieces. I could not post both together. I needed a few days until I have written enough reviews to promote it.
    Happy New Year to you and yours!!!
