What a fantastic shot of this beautiful bird of prey. I love all the texture in the feathers and that amazing beak. A really well composed shot that should do well in the contest - good luck!

You sure got up close and personal with this fella. Very nice shot of him. Good focus showing all of the details of his face. Like the angle you took the shot.

You have done a beautiful job taking this photo. Well focused, good framing and the details of its color and designs of the feathers is awesome. The color contrast is perfect and nice background. Good contest entry.

A really nice head shot of an eagle. I think however that it deserves a better background, since I find the stripe effect a bit distracting. Still the bird is standing out well.

The focus seems a tad soft, but I think sharpening a bit more and also add a bit of contrast would have given this photo a bit more punch. It would also be an idea to selectively brighten the eye a bit. Still it is clear and well defined details in this photo, and the exposure is good.

The eagle is well placed within the frame, but the framing itself is probably a bit tight on the right side and the top. With a few adjustments this could be a really great photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

A good entry for the contest.
Visually interesting.Your shot is sharp and well exposed.Your notes do not inform if any editing was done.
I think that this image could be further improved if you dodged the eye of the bird, so that it brightens it.
Good composition. I like how the bird is not fully in the frame.
An enjoyable picture, thank you for sharing. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much for the great review! Cropping is the only edit!

This is fantastic! Only two tiny suggestions, I would sharpen the overall a little, and maybe brighten and sharpen the eye, use the lasso tool in Photoshop, Elements, or PSP. That would turn this into a real award winning photo. I totally love the profile and tight crop!

Thank you so much for the amazing review! I wish I has Photoshop, Elements or PSP! I uploaded 3 times , so not sure if the focus is FAR issue. My copy is in pretty sharp focus!

Uploading to FAR does soften focus somewhat. The focus on this is fine. If you had one of those programs, additional sharpening would have been a bonus. Well, someday you may get one of those. If you come across an older used Photoshop, that is OK, you do not need the very expensive newest addition. Elements is similar, but quite a lot cheaper. PSP is the least expensive, very similar to Photoshop, and takes most of the same plug ins, and it is very good.
