Evocative and compelling. The technique yields such interesting effects. The raw emotion is so evident. This is a painting one could look at for extended periods and still feel new. Thank you.

Way cool! Wow cool! Love the message. I think we all remember that feeling and the mixed emotions that come with it. Love the colors and technique you used to apply them. Although I'm not sure how you did it. Great balance and composition. Wow...just wow!

Wow, what an impact. This picture really speaks to the soul an all sorts of senses. The colours says so much by the way you have used brightnes and softness, dark and light, The face of the main figure is very poignat, looking away from the world, the rest of the story. The creatures round about are a little threatening. I think this is an excellent and telling work of art. Thakyou. Mairi

Thank you Mairi. I just thought I'd test the waters with this piece. I didn't realize until I tried to enter this contest how seldom the colour green is the actual focus of art. Green is usually a background colour that makes the other colours pop.

i find this very interesting and thought provoking. i also respond to it emotionally. your technique is amazing and i commend you on coming up with something that is truly your own. i love the tilt of her head and purse of her lips - seems to tell a story of its own. the owl in the background is a nice bit of symbolism. great work! annie

Thank you Annie. My work contains lots of symbolism and is based on many years of study. Your connection with the emotion is what I'm looking for with my art. I'm glad you enjoy it.
