Way nice muted light on the flowers, and you certainly have gotten the feel of diffused light down perfectly! I like the colors in the blooms, really addsa nice pop, and the simpleness (is that a word?) appeals to me! donkeyoatey

you have surely created a beautiful and serene image. iv'e had such a (very) stressful day and just looking here, manages to have a calming effect. the colours are both warm and merge in such subtle ways. yes you can't go wrong with a flower arrangement for still life and this one comes with a high order and quality.

Thank you! I am happy you like the painting. It was an experiment. I tried to paint light.
I hope you have the chance to calm now after escaping the hassles of the day. I must be around 10:00 pm in London I think. Time to relax!

lovely work Cleo, did it start from a photo or is it all freely painted? If so I take my hat off to you. Even though its has ts very own unique style you still haven't lost the beauty of the subject. Good choice of canvas size as well, it enhances the long brush strokes. Its almost like the painting is melting before our eyes. Very clever

Thank you Corrina! No,no photo. The scene and location exist only in my imagination. I made a couple photos of a vase [without flowers] outside at the patio and some others of curtains to look at and get the shadows and reflection right, but that was all. It am experimenting. I try to paint the light. :-)

Thank you very much! A review as this from a salted artist as you means a lot to me,
I actually paint like I would paint on canvas, even choosing the texture of canvas and mixing colors. I doubt that it is possible to work this way without experience in traditional art.
