Nice photo of the cardinal. the eye is perfectly in focus (so important) and the feather details are clear. Lovely colors. The grass in the lawn is starting to blur away. As you work with bird photography, try to arrange your shooting setup so that you can get a nice bokeh. It will greatly improve the overall quality of your photos. Also, had you been able to lie down on the grass and shoot from there the POV would have been improved. I mention these things as something for you to keep in mind and apply as opportunities present themselves. In the meantime, you have a beautiful photo right here!

Your work here appears like a beautifully crafted etching with the finest of details so well captured and reported by you here. We don't usually get to see nature captured so eloquently. Your colors, light and darks keeps the piece soft and natural without losing the sharp clarity in the bird's beak and eye. The background is a lovely natural green and is blurred just enough so maintain its natural feel, without distracting the viewer's eyes away from the main subject.
