Yes, I have to agree with you - this is a very unusual pumpkin. I grow lots of pumpkins in my garden and last year the farmer across the way grew hundreds of pumpkins in his fields. Never ever seen one like this before though. It has a strange shape and is a strange colour too. The middle part is very weird and I would like to see that more clearly. Good shot capturing an unusual vegetable.

Mary, I like this upload for that horizontal format because when it popped out in the thumbnail at me, my eyes went directly to it with wonder "what is THAT" and so I just had to open it!

A photographic artist can really say different things with different cropping and no one crop is really the definitive one but like in this case it does strengthen the story over all and the story is l a r g e.

Generally, as I most likely have already told you, I'm never sure about borders and vignettes, but I have to say that here your vignette also punches out this unusual gourd so I like it and think your creativity enhances your upload.

As far as technique goes the fact you kept it natural was the way to go, perhaps you could have dodged the bottom part a tad to bring it into the front as I find myself being curious as to the "skirt" and it's colours and folds, but again that is very much subjective on my part.

Contrasted well, it is punchy, interesting presented with consideration given by you, your effort does not go un noticed and you get full marks from me.
