Unusual image with a very interesting story so thanks for providing the notes. Very beautiful sunset with a warm feeling even though the sun is low in the sky. You can see the rays radiating outwards and reflecting on the water. Strangely enough my eye is drawn to the background before I discover the petals in the foreground. There is a great deal of atmosphere in this shot. I feel like I am on the beach as the sun disappears. Soon it will be dark but presently there are shadows. I like your framing and composition is very good too. Focus and DoF are also very good. Good Luck in the contest.

Thanks for the kind and thoughtful review. You are right, the sunrise is the eye drawer. The sun will always do that if placed this way. But the sun is supposed to send the view to the water below and than to the petals. I tried a little optical trickery here.
