the blue part just jumps out at you. the focus and detail are amazing ever spine, ridge, and bump is right there crystal clear. Very, very nice shot

LOL sorry for hubby I knelt on top of one once in a squat as I was looking though the view finder!I see this image as well done and framed up nicely,not ouch!Great angle with the use of settings makes this a job well done

In close-up cactus look beautiful. I have never realized otherwise.

A most unusual cacti.Great shot showing terrific detail especially in the colour.Makes you wonder why the branch coming from the side turned blue.Like the way the background is blurred to give maximum attention to the cactus.

This is a very interesting subject. I love the colours and the composition. I also like the fact that the background is slightly blurred which makes the subject stand out. My only criticism of the shot is that it is not tack sharp. Perhaps a little selective editing to increase the contrast on the cactus to accentuate the highlights and shadows as well would have turned from from good to great.
