Nicely done with simple pine tree fronds to make a beautiful design. Isn't there a pattern contest going on right now. If so you should enter this.

It certainly is like a vortex drawing you into the centre. Its a very good composition with an excellent centre of interest and initial impact.

Excellent contest entry and somewhat making me dizzy looking into the seemingly endless middle. The image is sharp and soo unique in quality, certainly makes me think Mother Nature is the best artist! Excellent natural colors and outstanding framing!

This is a great idea. I just can't find the actual focus point of the image. That's one of the things we have to careful when dealing with this type of subject. If using manual focus; you have to decide where to place your most important drawing point. If using autofocus, you relinquish the final decision to the camera; and believe me, the camera is not always right. Hope this helps.

Very pretty image showing fern fonds. Things always look different when you peer downwards at them. I like the spiral shape formed by the fonds. I had one of these in my garden but even though I put it into the greenhouse for the winter I lost it. Not the easiest things to grow in the UK weather. Like the way you have filled the frame with the image. Focus is very sharp. Good candidate for the contest, so Good Luck in that.

Thanks so much Susan, you should come over to Australia and check out some of our vegetation (mind you this one was taken in NZ) but we do have areas where these grow like weeds :)

I can't even imagine this angle or view of this plant, so thanks for showing me this view. I thought it was a kaleidoscope technique that fragmented the photo, but since it is not symmetrical that was ruled out. great color, clear focus with nice details and unique view point.
