Great action shot of the blue heron, you don't get to see many shots like this most are of them wading in water. I didn't realize there were so many colors in the plumage. The green coloring of the water makes a great background.

I seem to have reviewed several images entered into this competition... This is, by far the best! Superbly sharp (I appreciate just how difficult that is with this subject. Perfect aperture choice. The background works really well. I like the fact that the bird has somewhere to fly in the frame. Really excellent work!
