Fantastic!!
What a great action moment of that heron in flight perfectly controlled, perfectly timed I like the fact that the heron has parts of it outside of the frame, superb detail and camera skills, great contest entry and worth a 6 but cant give on out.

Great shot you have there.
Good and clear colors.
Blurring in background lets the reviewer focus on main object.
The focus is sharp and good composure.

that is some capture, those wings, the span of them great focus,sharp details with amazing clarity considering he was flying ,the image has great colours which you have manage to catch his texture as well.lovely d.o.p background,nicely framed with a good angle, good work here

You did well and the shot is great. The stop action in flight is great. You DoF keep the attention of the bird. And we can see many of the colors that we do not often get from a Blue heron. Thanks for sharing, john

Thank you so very much! You can't see wings or feet! LOL! This was taken about two years ago. The settings was probably ISO 400 1000/sec f8 or f9.

I love the blue herons, they're so pretty. I love his blue wing span. The peach and orange are pretty too. He's got such a long neck. He looks cool in mid flight over the lake. Nice photo shot well.
