Bright, clear photo and the bright white makes for a good initial impact. Especially like the way you have shown the side view of the head and awesome beak. Like the way he seems to just come into the frame.

    Thanks much brian!

It is so good to know this pretty one has a safe home to enjoy life with a bum leg. I suspect the flamingos are wondering why his feathers are the wrong color! Good close up, frame and focus all well done.

Yes, I know about the close cropping but could not be helped in this instance. But I strive for betterness! ;) Thanks so much C!

Oh yes! Nice! White is very hard to capture. Beautifully done, his feathers are gorgeous, lots of detail, NO blowout. Yahoo! Beautiful clarity and color throughout the photo. Good close-up shot. What you see is what you get, right! I love it.

This is a lovely shot.
Love the sun shining on his feathers, they have a glow to them.
Good capture of his intense eye and long beak.
Good framing and pov.

Nice capture of this snowy. I recently returned for a week in FL photographing these and other wonderful birds. You didn't say what postprocessing you did on this snowy but, to my eye, I thing the bill could be darker and sharper. The eye looks quite good. Nice details in the feathers although there appears to be a pinkish cast to the white. Had you been able to get lower, more down on the birds level, you probably could have gotten a smoother blur to the background. Overall a good job and I look forward to seeing more of your photography.

Really like this little guy and am glad he's all right. Great shot. Beautifully focused. He looks a little grumpy like something didn't quite go his way! Well done.

LOL thanks so much bigbear! Maybe I made him grumpy by following him all over the place. I was like his shadow! :)

Beautiful shot of the head of this bird - well defined and sharp. Nicely composed and framed. Great lighting on the plumage.

I really like this close up of this interesting looking bird. Its feathers look like they were made of silk with the fantastic shine you can see in them. The background is nicely blurred for the bird to stand out well, but I would have tried to get rid of the black area at the bottom, and perhaps also the greens. I also think the beak is a bit too close to the frame.

Your focus is spot on and sharp showing clear and well defined details in the feathers, and the eye is captured so well. I also think the exposure is fine.

The tight framing works well, and apart from the beak issue I have already mentioned, the bird is well placed within the frame. This is an all together well taken shot with a good DOFF.
