This is a powerful stare. It does not look to me ambiguous. I think dynamic shadow work is helping mood (drama) creation. She is like a deep in thought. Thank you for sharing.

I really like this portrait. Good handling of the charcoal. I love charcoal. I love her eyes in this. She looks a little scared or sad to me. Big full lips, Ilike the shadow alot. Great image deserves 5.5*s.
